Sermon: "Prayer"

What is prayer? : A solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God, or it can be an object of worship.

Every prayer that we pray, has meaning and purpose to it. Our prayers affect our own lives, and the lives of others. As well as it’s communication for us to God. A lot of Christians become lazy and don’t pray anymore after a few years of their relationship with Christ. Why? Because they get frustrated that they may not be seeing immediate results, or getting what they want. Everything thing is on Gods timing-( Let your will be done, not my own.) But God has given us everything we need (all the authority) but we don’t use it, because we are LAZY.
(Matthew 13.18,19)
“I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth, will be forbidden in heaven. And whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.”
  • God gives us authority in order to bring His will to earth. (Not bringing our own to pass.) We have spiritual authority so why don’t we exercise it?
  • We are Gods servants, so He desires us to pray and pray.. (to pull heaven down to earth.)

God wants His glory and presence to come down to earth but we stop believing and praying that –we are born from above.. Then our eyes can’t be opened when we do not believe that we are born from above. When we start believing that we have that kingdom mentality and that we ARE born from above it leads us to pray more and more.. Then we see the supernatural happen.
